Murphy Coon is a Commercial Real Estate Advisor, developer, and entrepreneur with nearly 11 years of commercial real estate experience and a diverse background in business development, construction, and commercial investment. As co-owner of Murphy & Martin Real Estate and Lone Star Commercial Construction, he specializes in commercial investment sales, medical office, professional office, owner-user properties, and commercial development throughout West Texas.

A graduate of Texas Tech University with a degree in Food Science and a minor in Chemistry, Murphy began his career with Praters Foods before spending nearly a decade with Ecolab, where he built a reputation as a top-performing sales professional and leader. During his first year as a Sales Development Manager in the Denver market, he achieved 199.6% of quota, ranked 5th nationally, and earned multiple national sales awards before advancing into leadership.

Today, Murphy combines real estate brokerage with hands-on construction and development experience. Through Lone Star Commercial Construction, he has participated in the acquisition, development, construction, leasing, and disposition of commercial properties across West Texas, giving clients practical insight that extends far beyond a traditional brokerage relationship.

Murphy holds the Texas Accredited Commercial Specialist (TACS) designation through Texas REALTORS® and is committed to helping investors, business owners, and developers make informed real estate decisions with confidence.

Outside of work, Murphy serves on the Board of Trustees at Lakeridge Methodist Church in Lubbock, where he contributes his business and construction experience to facility planning, maintenance, and future campus improvements. He and his wife, Dr. Amber Coon, an OB/GYN physician, are raising their two daughters in Lubbock and are proud to call West Texas home.

Dr. Kyle Gilliam brings a unique combination of education, leadership, and real-world business experience to Murphy & Martin Real Estate. As a Residential Real Estate Specialist, Kyle is dedicated to helping buyers, sellers, and investors make informed decisions while providing exceptional service throughout every step of the transaction.

Kyle earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Agricultural Communications and Education from Texas Tech University and currently serves as a Professor of Practice in Agricultural Mechanics at Texas Tech, where he enjoys mentoring and developing the next generation of industry leaders. His background in higher education, agribusiness, production agriculture, and organizational leadership has equipped him with outstanding communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping others succeed.

In addition to his academic career, Kyle is a small business owner with experience in residential real estate acquisitions and sales. His practical understanding of the market, combined with a relationship-first approach, allows him to confidently guide first-time buyers, growing families, investors, and sellers through one of life’s most important financial decisions.
